Life Skills from a Cup of Coffee

In this unique workshop where we meld coffee and emotional intelligence (EQ), pick up coffee and life lessons that'll take you far.

Description

Every coffee crop is different. There are many factors that influence the coffee crop when it is harvested and processed and each crop may differ from one to another. So how can the quality of the coffee be determined? The barista has no control over the crop, but they can influence the outcome by applying the right extraction methods to bring out the best from whatever they are given.

In this workshop, you will discover the methods and tools to brew a good cup of coffee and how coffee brewing relates to how we can manage challenges in life. This workshop is organised in collaboration with I AM Campaign.

This campaign aims to encourage youths to stand up and take a pledge to eliminate cervical cancer from the face of the earth. One of their representatives, Summer, will also be on hand to share more about her personal challenges that she's turned into an opportunity and endless possibilities.

Key Takeaways

  1. Redefining Emotional Intelligence (EQ)

  2. Increase self-awareness and be equipped with the EQ tool to evaluate the costs and benefits of our choices rather than reacting on autopilot during challenges in life.
