This course is offered as a blended learning course - students will be expected to complete a 3-hour E-learning theory module followed by 2.5 full days of practical in-person class taught in the Academy. The course is available on weekdays (full-time class) or on consecutive Saturdays (part-time class).

Perfect for Coffee lovers and those who might be keen on joining the F&B industry, or even starting their own cafe. For anyone who is looking to acquire foundation barista and brewing skills in specialty coffee.
You will be introduced to the basics of specialty coffee, its origins, farming and processing methods. You will also understand brewing methods, make espresso-based drinks to industry standards and have your first taste of creating latte art.
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be equipped with the knowledge and application skills in providing specialty coffee service and be competent in:
PRE-CLASS (3 Hours) - E-learning
DAY 1 (9 AM - 5.30 PM) - On site
DAY 2 (9 AM - 5.30 PM) - On site
DAY 3 (9 AM - 1.30 PM / 1.30 PM - 6 PM) - On site
Bettr Barista Coffee Academy is an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) under the WSQ system and this course is eligible for SSG funding of up to 95% for eligible COMPANIES and INDIVIDUALS.

WSQ Provide Specialty Coffee Service is a SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) accredited programme (formerly WDA) and this unit is within the competency category of Food & Beverage Service (one of the modules leading to the CET certificates).
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) in WSQ Provide Specialty Coffee Service.
