WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1

Regardless of how tasty or appealing an establishment’s dishes may be, food cleanliness is absolutely essential to ensuring the survival of hospitality businesses, and to keep customers coming back. 

By the end of this course, you will be competent in handling and preparing food in safe, hygienic ways in line with regulations, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of utensils, equipment and premises.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be equipped with:  

  • Understanding of the importance of food hygiene and safety

  • Practical skills in hygienic handling, preparation and storage of food

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness of utensils, equipment and premises

Who Should Attend

Aspiring and current hospitality staff who are involved in the preparation and handling of food, chefs, cooks, kitchen helpers, food stall assistants, or those running F&B businesses from home. This is a mandatory licensing course.


The more the merrier, so gather your fellow industry mates to attend as we require a min. of 8 pax to run this class. Please note that Basic numeracy and English literacy skills (level 3) are required.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1.
