Barista Skills Intermediate delves deeper into espresso calibration making sure baristas can calibrate the quantity of coffee used, grind texture, water quantity and shot time to produce a desired espresso brew recipe fast, keeping wastage to a minimum.
Building on the Foundation level, learners will learn advanced latte art pour techniques and drink-build a full range of drinks with quality and speed. Sensory Foundation helps to expose baristas to basic sensorial aspects of specialty coffee and trains their ability to taste acidity, sweetness and bitterness within different parts of the espressos extraction. Brewing Foundation introduces you to alternative non-espresso brewing methods such as gravity, immersion and hybrid which is commonly served in alternative specialty brew bar.
