Founded by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI), a non-profit group aiming to increase both coffee quality and the lives of those producing it, the Q Grader course is designed to both teach and test attendees on how to cup and grade coffee samples.

The six-day Q Course will start 25th of Sept and will include opportunities for resits for those needing to complete any outstanding assessments. On 1st October, we’ll also be hosting a Q Calibration for those who have held a Q licence for over 3 years and want to retain their qualification.

Early-bird: S$2,340 (valid till 15 August)

SCA ROASTING SKILLS - PROFESSIONAL
12 - 15 NOVEMBER

This course is designed to introduce the roasting professional to the core skills and equipment required to produce great roasted coffee.

The Professional course will look at aspects including:

  • Green coffee properties and chemistry

  • Fundamental chemistry of coffee

  • Physics of coffee roasting

  • Physical changes in the coffee bean

  • Chemical reactions during the roasting process

  • Sensory evaluation of roasted coffee

  • Elements of a coffee roasting business

  • Roastery management principles

  • Manufacturing efficiency and capital expenditure
