SCA roasting Skills - Foundation (1 day, 9am - 6pm)

For: New/working commercial roasters, coffee geeks/enthusiasts
Recommended courses before taking this class are Sensory Foundation and Green Coffee Foundation.

The Foundation course gives a basic understanding of the roasting process, including the roast cycle and how to control sensory aspects of the coffee by roasting light or dark.

It is designed to introduce the novice into the core skills and equipment required to produce great roasted coffee. Ideal for someone who is considering a vocation as a coffee roaster.

 

COURSE FEE: S$480.00 (INCLUDING GST)

The course fee includes 1 written and 1 practical test. Any subsequent retests will be charged as follows:

  • Written retest - S$40.00
  • Practical retest - S$80.00

We require a minimum number of 2 learners to run each class. If the number of sign-ups does not meet this requirement, learners will be notified and have their class rescheduled to the next available date. Please visit our FAQ page to learn more about rescheduling/cancellation policies.

SkillsFuture credit can be applied towards this course.
